3. Youth Theatre:  Providing financial support to after school programs for children to be educated and to perform for audiences.

The Beverly Hills Theatre Guild was established in 1977 to develop and to maintain greater community interest in the theatre. The Guild does this in several ways:

  • Encouraging playwrights by sponsoring annual Playwright Award Competitions.
  • Hosting readings of winning plays in Beverly Hills to a non-paying audience.
  • Supporting local theatre through membership participation.
  • Awarding the BHTG "Spotlight Award" on an annual basis to an inspirational person of the theatre.
  • Honoring a local leader with our community service award.

BHTG is a non-profit organization made up of a diverse group of members who work together to encourage new works in the theatre and to enrich theatrical experiences in the community. We welcome new members who are interested in participating in The Guild through either active or financial support.
